The second major program of SVAK, conduced annually is the National Women’s Science Congress under the aegis of Matru Vedike (Women Scientists Forum). This is held on 7th November which happens to be the birth anniversary of Madame Marie Curie and Dr. C. V. Raman, two great Nobel Laureates of the world.
On this occasion, SVAK presents the prestigious Marie Curie Mahila Vijnana Puraskara to an eminent women scientist of India and the C. V. Raman Mahila Vijnana Puraskara to an eminent women scientist in the field of Physicochemical and Mathematical Sciences.
